Today's hop starts with Connie- , please start there if you didn't just come from Lisa's Blog.

Today I made a Easter Egg Slider Card with Creative-Kuts . It is a BAP (build a project) with Gina Long. It was a free file. It was fun to work with but getting the chick in the inside was a tad hard for me.

For the egg I used colorbok patterned paper, stickers & punch-out pack -bright.

For the chick I used a scrap piece of light yellow. I used my Cricut to cut the oval and scalloped circles. The cartridges I used was a child's year and celebrations. I then put the oval in the sizzix sidekick and embossed a flower on it. I took 1 scallop circle and cut it in half for the wings. The other I used for his hair (you cant see it :( ). I cut a small triangle for his beak. Using a orange ink pad I inked around the oval and the 2 scalloped circles. Then added 2 eyes and lashes with my black marker. Used 2 small star punchies in orange for his feet (which you cant see).

After figuring out how to put it together and taking it apart several times I finally glued it all together. Once I had it together I found a old scrap piece of Easter paper I once used to cover a box, it had Easter or lets decorate eggs. I chose the lets decorate eggs. I cut it out and into thirds. Putting the lets on the top and decorate eggs on the bottom. I was trying to put pearls around the jagged break/cut but it wasn't looking right or staying put, so I used some red self adhesive ribbon and went around the jagged break/cut.

Crafty Cutters Creations Blog Hop- Day 4

For this Awesome Hop using our Awesome Cricut's I made a special LO of my Chinese pug Buddy . He is 6 years old. I purchased him at a pet store when he was a month old. I gave him to my mom. The black paper is piggy tales- itsy bitsy spider collection. It is double sided. The dog background paper is from gcd animal collection (biglots pad). I traced a card designer all around it on the back of the paper to give it the unique shape, that was hard, so it looks odd. The bones and banner was using recollections paper called "dogs". The title BUDDY is from black thickers.I glued the bones and banner on to black card stock to off set the 2 pattern papers. Also the banner was 5 separate pieces so I used real small brads to hook them together and then used a brad to attach it to the background paper. It is only attached with the 2 end brads. Rest of the banner is free flowing. The carts I used was : banner- birthday bash and dog bones - a childs year. I took a white gel pen and hand stitched around the dog paper and outlining the letters.Ops I forgot Buddy. He loves his picture taken. Everytime he see's me with a camera he comes and poses. I matted him onto some black tear paper and tried to use my deco scissors to cut him out. OMGoodness that was so hard to do. A simple but fun LO.

Its Mardi Gras - Beads, Jazz, Floats, and Masks Blog Hop

Welcome to our Mardi Gras parade. I must warn you though while you may enjoy jumping up to catch beads, doubloons, cups, stuffed animals--whatever! Please yell at the float riders "Throw me something, Mister!" Bring a large, sturdy plastic or cloth bag to hold all the treasure you'll be catching - if you try to put all of your beads around your neck, you'll have a hard time standing up straight! Be prepared: some people get so overcome with excitement they will occasionally jump in front of you to grab what a rider has thrown to you. Don't get into a tug-o-war....there are many more floats on the way! If you're from far away, some visitors hold up a sign saying where they are from.. our local riders love to see people from far away have a good time and will throw to them to make sure they do!

The colors of Mardi Gras are: Purple which represents justice; Green which represents faith; and gold which represents power.Mardi Gras is always held the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans! Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.

Instead of beads, coconuts (which apparently is the most prized throw from floats) and other baubles, we have a great sponsor:

Sew, sit back with your beverage of choice, just keep in mind the police will be in full force watching for drunken loudness as this is a family event! If you have arrived from Lisa's on the parade route, then you are sitting at the best seat in the house! If you have just happened to be visiting me today, don't get me wrong as I always love visitors, I would love for you to start at the beginning of our parade route at Lynne's .

I made a mask with matching purse, another mask and then I will be showing you one that I DID NOT MAKE I ACTUALLY RECEIVED IT IN A SWAP.

Here is my matching mask and purse. The colors was suppose to be black, blue, silver and white. It was a little tricky but I think I did it .

I took a wooden purse from Michael's and painted it black. Done the rim and handle in blue.When all that dried I took the silver folk art glitter paint and went over the black. When that was dried I added some real small white lace to the front, adding black glittery ribbon on top of the lace, then white shiny beads on top of the black ribbon. I then added 3 large blue gems to the bottom right corner. In the top left corner I took a white paper flower I got in a swap and added 2 black, 2 white, 2 blue feathers to it and glued it to the left side of the purse. This completed my purse.

The mask was a black one you get at Michael's with 3 in a pack for $1.99. First I took 2 black, 2 white, 2 blue feathers and stacked them then glued them together on the back side of the right. I then took the pearls again and went around the eyes. Next I went around the outside of the mask with the pearls. Along the right side I took 5 large white and 5 large blue gems and altered them . On the left side I took a smaller flower that matched the one on the purse and added a white, blue and black feather to it and then glued it down. On both sides of that I added 2 small blue flowers I received in a swap. This makes my mask complete.

Here is a mask I did for another swap. I again took a black mask from Michael's and decked it out. On the back I put this feathery flare thingy that has beads on it too. I found this at Michael's with the masks and feathers. I outlined it in black sequins. Outlined the eyes in pink sequins. Added a pink jeweled heart to center. Pink gem designs above both eyes. Took medium pink gems and went along both sides. Added 2 pink glittery paper flowers to the left side. This completed the mask.

Here is a beautiful mask I DID NOT MAKE. I received it in a swap from a very talented lady who goes by Cynthialoowoo. I absolutely love her creations.

For the hop today, I've created a LO featuring the song "Help, Help me Rhonda" .

I started out with a double sided paper Echo Park "For The Record" Stamp of Approval 12" x 12" Paper.

I took a pack of white blossoms sparkle sticker borders, glittery hearts and lined the left side and bottom with them.

I then took a red lacy paper doily and taped the middle to the upper right corner. I then put the picture slanted on it and outlined the remainder of the middle heart with half back pearls.

I then cut the song out using the bat wings deco scissors and then inked the edges with red ink. Added the remainder red glitter heart to corner.

I traced 3 hearts on to 3 different red papers. 1 is glittery, 1 has flowers, 1 has hearts. The flowery one I tried to outline the flowers with a sparkly silver Martha Stewart marker. I used a thick pop dot to make them pop off the page.

Here is the finished project. I hope you like it and it inspires you.

For the hop today, I've created .......

A few valentines cards.

The first one is a simple heart card. I found a pattern online (Click Me) and just printed it out on pink card stock. Then I took a piece of scrap paper that was red with weird looking black faded out flowers on it. I then took a black marker and colored in alot of the already faded out black. The rest I used some pink off brand stickles and traced with it. Inside i stamped Happy Valentines Day. Simple but cute.

Next I took another pattern for a 3 heart fold type card. I don't think I made it right but I did my best and I like it. I'm not to sure where I got the pattern from because I have had it a long time, so if you know please tell me so I can credit them. Anywho here is the pattern.

So I took pink card stock and traced all 3 hearts on it. Then I cut them out and glued the extra one to the second one via the tab. While the glue was drying I dug out 3 different pieces of scrap paper that kinda matched and said valentines.
The first heart is covered in a pink flowery paper. It has glitter and 3-d effects already to it. I then took the remainder of the scrap paper and cut an additional flower out and pop dotted it on top of the same flower on card. I glued a large white half pearl to its center. I added 9 small clear gems in the centers of other flowers. In the real small ones I put a small drop of puffy paint in silver.

On the second heart I took a light pink paper with some white designs in it, it also has some pink glittery lines around one side. I used a valentines stamp and put it on the blank of the paper.

For the third heart I used paper that has small pink glittery sparkly leaves on it.

A simple but cute card.

Love Symbol Paper Piecing

Good evening, hope you had a great week. I wanted to come and share with you my Love Symbol Paper Piecings I did last night. I really like how they turned out.

I used cream as the main color. A patterned double sided paper. Brown ink pad.

I got the pattern from HERE . I love going there for paper piecing patterns.

Good evening, how are you? I just wanted to come and show you a double layout I did for my son. I followed a 2 page layout sketch for a board at scrapbook.com . This is my first page for him and I love it.

This is the sketch I was to follow. now it is not perfect but I followed as close as I could.

Here is my take on this sketch. I used the real announcement from paper and one of the things they hand out to you at the funeral. I chose pictures of my family. I am only missing my little brother as he doesn't like pictures of the grave, and I respect that.

I used a patterned blue as the main page, then used a light yellow/tan with circles made in it and a little sparkle. then used a plain light blue to mat everything on. Also used another tan patterned to put the pictures on. The 3 flowers are handmade and I received them in a swap ( if there yours please let me know so i can mark that here) . I used the same photo paper and light blue paper to punch out butterflies. The day of the funeral I had a butterfly sitting on my shoulder during the whole grave side service. The praying hands is a stamp of mine.

Im not to good at taking pictures of a double LO but I guess this is good. Thanks for stopping by.

WOW!! It's been a minute since I was in here. I been sick and trying to catch up on things. I made a altered composition book and a matching photo mat and tag. I'm really happy with them.

Below is my tag and photo mat. It was for a swap and I had to make them according to my partners wants. She wanted one that went for a "black tie date". I had and still have no idea what a black tie date is or was, so I made it pure black and white.

Now here comes my altered composition book. I used DCWV adhesive backed paper to cover it. It was was easier then trying to glue it.The paper is white with black dots on it. I only covered the book and not the binding. I put a piece of black lace across the middle then topped that with a string of pearls. I also put the pearls along the binding. I took a piece of white lace and put it under the black lace. Attached a handmade silk rose and sheer ribbon. The flower has a silver leaf attached with 2 stick pens also. I glued a brad that says "believe" above the black ribbon and attached a charm that says "never never give up" with a black flower brad to the white lace.

For the hop today, I've created .......

A LO using 2 photo's of me . I was born in 1977 and I just love these pictures.

I scraplifted my page design from Jamkuhns . I used a yellow 12x12 as my main page. Put a strip of orange along the left hand side. I outlined the word "baby" with a black sharpie on the orange piece. I matted my photos first on a red card stock and then on top of a green cardstock. I used a corner punch on all corners. A pretty basic plain page but i'm content with it.

12 Memories of 2011

Celebrating a 16^th year of friendship with my BFF.

Getting back in touch with some old friends.
Finding all of my long lost family thru facebook.
Taking short trips to visit places I have never been.
Seeing my older brother and sister for the first time in 6 years.
Learning some new ways to craft.

Carving a pumpkin for the very first time and my baby brother helping me.

Sitting on santas lap and getting my picture taken with my niece and her mom
Took all of my hard struggles to god and asked him to help me with them.
I didn’t have any bad health complications this year.
Got to have my parents still in my life. My papa (dad) had a massive heart attack.
Got to spend some good ‘ol quality time with my BFF.

2012 hopes, dreams, goals.

Finish off my last class to get my degree in web design.
Get my license and a car.
learn how to make shaker boxes.
Try not to get so angry at everything.
Be a better listener.
Get my blood sugars under control more.It's hard when your on so many meds that mess with it.
Let go and let god.
Make things as simple as possible.
Stop putting off things until the last minute.
Scrap more LO’s.
Crochet a little more. i just learned in may 2011
Cherish every moment I can.

Before we pop the champagne and celebrate the new year, let's stop and reflect on the year that has gone by...remember both our triumphs and missteps, our promises made and broken...the times we opened ourselves up to great adventures or closed ourselves down for fear of getting hurt. Because that's what the new year is all about: getting another chance. A chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more. And stop worrying about "what if?" and start embracing what would be. So when the ball drops at midnight, and it will drop, let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other. And not just on New Year's Eve, but all year long. Let's embrace the love we have, the great people we have in our lives, the great times we have, the great memories we will make. Let's not let the bad things triumph the good in our lives.

Here's to wishing you a glorious bright new year in 2012.

For the hop today, I've created .......

My very first mini album I made by myself. I am so happy with it and proud of myself.

I took chipboard and covered 2 pieces in black. These are my covers. I added 2 holes in spine for the ribbon closure. The front cover I used my designers calendar cartridge and DCWV adhesive backed pattern paper and cut out 2012. I added black and white flowers to it from Making Memories Tin Collection Flowers Glitter Red and Black. I didn't use the red instead used the white that was in the tin. I made 4 sets alternating black and white. Added a large flat backed pearl to the centers. Along the bottom I added some small lace and on top of that put some ribbon someone gave me. The right corner I attached a butterfly that I received in a swap. It is made of clear plastic and embossed.On this butterfly I added 12 3mm blue gems. I used the designers calendar cartridge for my whole project, Using the same DCWV paper as the 2012 I cut out the months at 2 inches.

Now since my pages are double sided the months wont be in order as I post them but they are in my book.

Wow we are so close to 2012. Today is New Year's Eve and also my best friend Chris's birthday.

Now I am going to show you a few things I made him. 2 of which he asked me to make him.

First one is some crocheted slippers. Let me say I did not know how to crochet and he knew it, these slippers was started back in March 2011 and got finished December 2011.

I went and found some "manly" yarn. The yarn I chose was a corrugated and it was called Platoon. Hook size was H. I used a pattern I got in a email, not sure from where cause it was so long ago.

First photo includes the practice piece, my mom (can crochet in her sleep) showed me with the orange every stitch I was going to need in the pattern.

Then comes the slipper making . I had to work in circles and well it was hard for me, kept making mistakes. Not adding enough or doing stitches I was never taught.

And here is my Best Friend wearing the slippers he asked me to make him.

Next comes a train I picked up at hobby lobby. He loves trains. I used red ,black paint (his fav's) and then after staring at it a few days I added some gold rub 'n buff to the wheels so it looked like the train had gold rims. I forgot to take a photo of the rims but here is the train.

Last but not least is his stocking he asked me to make him. He said he didnt have one. I have one with my name on it that mom knitted for me when I was born and I love it and it hangs on my fireplace every year. So I wanted him to have a handmade one too.

Mom's Present

Hello, how are you doing this fine chilly day? I am doing OK, I guess. I am back for another showcase of the present I made for my mom. I love her so much, she is always there to help me and I really appreciate her for that. I don't really know what I'm going to do when the good lord calls her home.

Well let's get on with her special present.

I started out with this simple kit from oh my crafts . I do believe there discontinued though.

It is a plain & simple chipboard flower boutique. Came with 16 white flowers in 2 sizes, 16 pieces you glue to the bottom to hold the sticks, 16 white sticks, 16 big white buttons (I didn't use them) and 2 pieces of Styrofoam (one big and one small, the small slides in and out to make some flowers taller then the rest) you use the container it all came in as your vase. You also get some white shredded paper so you can cover up the sticks and Styrofoam.

I painted 15 flowers, I used 3 different colors of purple in the folk art paints (dark, medium, light). I had to give each one 4 coats. I glued some large white flat back pearls to the centers of my flowers. while my paint was drying and in between coats I worked on my vase, I took off the handle it had on it, it just untied. I then found some purple paper which had some cartoon character on it and I traced the insert kinda sorta. Once i traced and cut it out it need a little more trimming so it fit just right. After I got that done I went and painted the flowers some more. I stuffed the vase with some tissue paper so that way when I put the Styrofoam piece in i cant adjust it accordingly. After everything was dried and I got it all put together, I stuck them into the Styrofoam at different sizes. Covering them up with the shredded paper. Using Ashlyns alphabet I cut the word MOM out at 3 inches. Light purple paper was used. Gluing them down so they kinda scroll around the vase, adding 3 dark purple gems to one side of each letter. For the top and bottom of the vase I used the Offray Majesty Lace. This is some pretty lace to work with.

A pretty easy project, just took about 2 days to complete because of all the drying.

Kiara's Present

Good afternoon Crafter's . It's a chilly 66 degrees today here in Central Florida. I just wanted to come back and post a separate post for each item I showed on Christmas.

Let's start today with the Hair Bows container I made for my niece, Princess Kiara. She doesn't like putting her hair stuff in the same container as her step sister so I made her one of her own.

Her favorite color is purple so I used a light purple card-stock I got from colorbok. I also used a pattern paper from colorbok for the other things.

I used Ashlyns alphabet and cut her letters at 2 inches at real dial size. I then used my Girls Makeup Party cartridge for the iron and blow dryer.

I put the dryer and iron on the ends of the container. I attached Kiara on the front and hair bows on the back.

Along the bottom I used some Offray ribbon. The purple is called Grosgrain Animal Delphinium 5 9 FT. It is 7/8 in x 9 ft. Kiara picked this out on one of out shopping trips. Once I got that glued down, its so hard gluing around something and not cutting the ribbon to do so, I then took my Offray Majesty Lace, which is 1/2 in x 9 ft, and went on the top edge of the purple and glued it down. This one was much easier to glue. Finally I added a 3 dimensional paper flower made from 2 different color blueish purple paper with a button in the center.

Merry Christmas

Good morn'n crafter's and Merry Christmas. I hope you have had or are having a great day.

I wanted to show you our purple tree. The tree itself is white but bulb ornaments, lights, garland and such is purple. We also have Elmo on there . They was put on there when my niece was younger and we still put them on every year, there is NASCAR, # 88 only. that set includes a pit crew, few different cards he drives, a few with years on them, some hoods, Jr himself and so forth. We also have a granny, Us 4 kids as a baby in a bassinet with the year we was born in them. Ornaments we made mom as a child, and the ornaments go on. Here is our tree,

Here are a few projects I gave as gifts, I will be back later to make a seperate post for each one.

My best friend asked me to make him a stocking. I never made one before so it was a challenge for me. How does it look to you?

My best friend also told me he wanted me to crochet him some slippers so his feet are warm when he relaxes. Again this is a first for me. These took me some time to make. He likes them and I do too. Here he is wearing them.

My best friend also loves trains, the reason why I have no idea but i made him this one in his favorite colors. I really like this.

My niece Kiara got tons but I showing this hair bow container I made for her hair bows. Front says Kiara, back says hair bows. It is see thru so you can see the writing on the back. Sides have a curling iron and blow dryer.

I made my mom a vase of purple flowers. Purple is her color.

Made a crochet owl purse for grandma, except he isn't a purse, I filled him with air bubbles. lol

Made a flip flop trinket box for my aunt.

December Ugly Paper Challenge

Mornin, I say that as it is a whopping 4:34 am here in Florida. I wanted to post my December Ugly Paper Challenge LO before I forgot again.

So the December Ugly Paper Challenge is where someone sends you 2 pieces of UGLY 12x12 paper and a UGLY embellishment too. The receiver is suppose to take the 2 papers and embellishment and make a LO with them.

Well here is my UGLY paper.

Hideous aint it. I think so.

Well I used the golf as my main paper as I had some golf shots I took with my bestie when we went to play mini golf for the first time. We actually enjoyed it. I matted my photos with the ugly circle paper. I rounded the corners of my photos, the mats and also my background paper. I also used the ugly circle paper to hand cut the word GOLF out of . I took the ugly orange ribbon and put it sticking out of the photos. I used a crochet doily and cut it in half then half again and put it in my two corners. With this I sewed on some golf buttons from Dress It Up. It said 6 buttons but it had all you see in the layout and 3 more I didn't use. some had shanks and some didn't. I used a brad to connect the club and let it dangle.

I'm not to thrilled with it but I like it.

A Merry Christmas altered plate. I had so much fun with this project.

I took a silver plate I got from walmart and used some green felt fuzzy feeling stickers and spelled out merry Christmas along the top and bottom. I then cut and glued some red and white striped ribbon ( got from swap ) along the edge of the plat. I got to say this was the hardest part of the whole project. I then took some cuts and paper pieced a tree, a reindeer, Santa clause,2 presents. I attached them with pop dots to make it dimensional. I glued some large flat back pearls around the plate on the ribbon where it is connected. Used stickles for my ornaments on the tree. I-Rock gems for the spots on the reindeer.

12 Days of Christmas at Creative Soup for the Soul

Morn'n Crafter's. I wanted to share with you a challenge I entered over at creative soup for the soul .
Trish and Jackie put this challenge up with the following tasks. I am going to include my submission for each one. If you get a change head on over and check out all they have going on. You won't be disappointed.

Day 1- Make anything you want using the colors red and green.

Day 2- Altered item-Christmas Theme

Day 3- Die Cut or Punch must be used in your project

Day 4-Post your favorite Cookie Recipe

Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
1 Beat the butter until creamy, 2 minutes. Add the sugars, beat for 2 more minutes. Mix in the peanut butter and egg. Mix together the dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the sugar butter mixture.
2 Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
3 Preheat oven to 375°F. Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with a fork. Bake until light brown, 9 to 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for a minute; transfer to rack to cool completely.
For chewier cookies, bake at 300°F for 15 minutes.
Yield: Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

I dont have 1 favorite because I like to add a lot of variety into my projects. I love to chalk or ink the edges of my cards, paper, die cuts. Love using stickles and paint. Paper piecing and sometimes cutting the shapes out on my own. Its fun to just pick up a pencil and paper and draw something out. In fact my Santa hat on my layout I hand drew and added cotton to it so it looks fuzzy.

Day 11-Make a project that is distressed-Christmas Themed

Day 12- Finish a project you started

Secret Sister's Blog Hop

Merry Christmas and thank you for stopping by our hop today as we reveal the wonderful projects we have made for our "Secret Sisters". With blog hopping and crafting, we have all become sisters. What was done -- those of us were interested we given a "Secret Sister" to craft something special. Not only do we have a Secret Sister but we also gave some "hints" as to Our Favorite Things. How special is that. Now, ssshhhhhh, please don't tell our Secret Sisters as it hasn't been revealed yet as to who has who while you hop along with us!!!!

If you have arrived from Sherry then you are on the right path to Secret Sisters but if you just happened upon my blog, please start at the beginning as we don't want you to miss one special gift!!!!

Here is my special present for my secret sister. I'm not allowed to say who she is yet but I can faithfully say she lives above me :O).

I really enjoyed making my special gifts.

The first one I took a Popsicle stick I got from someone, it had " tied together with heart strings " engraved in it. I took my crop-a-dile and inserted two holes and added some bakers twine to hang it. I covered it a lil to give it a distressed feel.

I then took a pringles top and cut a piece of paper to fill the inside. I chose a pretty scrap piece that has white flowers and a red heart in it. I used some zots to tack that down. I then took my crop-a-dile and put a hole in the top and also one towards the bottom. The top one I used the same bakers twine as above and put it in to hang it with. I then took some e-6000 glue and put it around the hole I made at the bottom. I also put it around the bottom of a Silver blinged out butterfly. I then pushed the pointy part of the butterfly thru the hole and held it there until it was dried. I then took a iamroses pink and white rose and glued it to the top.

For the hop today, I've created a few paper piecing's for thanksgiving. I made a turkey, a pumpkin pie and a pilgrim. I have not dont this before and I really enjoyed it.

Here are the piecings together with the picture from the pattern I followed.

Here is my turkey. I outlined the head, wings, banner with a sharpie. Used a puffy paint for eye.

Here is my pilgrim. Inked the outside of clothes with black. pop dotted the turkey leg and platter.

Here is my pumpkin pie with a dollop of whip cream. I inked the outside of all pieces with brown.

Guest Desiner at Her Craftiness...

Hello Crafters, how are you doing? I am here to announce that I, yup me, am a guest designer today for Lynne over at Her Craftiness. Please Stop on over at her crafty place and check her out.

She wanted a project done for either Thanksgiving or Fall so I chose Fall. Let me show you what I came up with.

I used a pretty patterned cardstock that I got from someone so I am unsure of the name of it. I took a fall leaf decoration and glued it on the card. The smiling pumpkin and fall title are both digi stamps I got from kadoodlebugdesigns. I colored them in with Martha Stewart markers. On the 2 pumpkins I put a piece of foam in the center for a little dimension.

For the hop today, I've created a beautiful LO of my kids, my parakeets. Blu, my oldest died last year. I had her 14 years. I just got my 2 newest ones as a present in April. I named them Leo and Bucky.

Well, now on to my LO.

Here is the main supplies I used.

Here is my finished project. Nothing spectacular was done.Simple yet sweet.

I cut my photos out with "imperial" decorated scissors. I placed the photos on top of some old doilies. I then took my stickles and went around the edge of doilies with matching color of bird, so I used blue, green, yellow. I had a package of adhesive backed chipboard letters and there was no name on them, I had no idea what I was saving them for so I used them as my title. The double layer flower came from the same set. I took my dyna label maker to print out the names and stuck them next to there pictures.

I want to share with you three (3) special LO's I recently did.

The first one was for a T-U-V challenge. T for teal, U for upside down, V for vellum. Here is my LO.

Second was the October ugly paper challenge.

Here is the ugly papers and embellishments I had to use:

Here is my Lo from the uglies.

I used the heart paper behind my photo and 2 embellies. I also used it in the cricut to cut my title. When you look at the title and matting the hearts look like circles.

Third one is a cosmo cricket paper challenge. I had to do a Lo with 95% of the items being CC. the only thing that isnt is the letters and frills in the corners. The rest come in a kit together.

Let's get ya started on the hop so you can get your creating on. If you've hopped over from LYNDA, then you are in the right place because I am number two, woohooo, Several stops along the way will be offering some nifty prizes, so please be sure to keep an eye out for that and have fun.

Here is what I chose for my project. A altered box in the Halloween theme.
I chose to use one of them white boxes from Michael's that has a little closure on the lid.

I chose to color the outside with Black paint from Making Memories. I painted the lid, the 4 sides and bottom.

I then took Making Memories eat your carrots which is a bright orange. I painted the inside of the box and lid with this color. Seems that my paint cracked at the part where the lid folds down so i glued on a piece of orange ribbon that says HAPPY HALLOWEEN. I hope this helped over the mistake,

I then got my Rit dye in orange out and cut me a piece of white lace to cover the whole top, all 4 sides. I put the lace in the dye mixture and swirled it around. I had to do it about 5 different times to get the orange I was looking for. Here is the dyeing pictures.

After I attached my lace I took a bright orange ink pad and went all over the top of my lid dabbing it all over. I added 3 small silk roses in orange to the bottom left and top right corners. I then took 2 ghost vinyl stickers , the word boo and oooooo and stars all from the same sheet and adhered them to the top of my lid. Here is what that looks like.

After all that I added some orange candy corn ribbon across the bottom, I took this along all 4 sides.

After I got done decorating my box I filled it with Halloween goodies and mailed it off to it's new owner.

Evening craftaholics. How is your crafting going? Are you whipping up some new and funky Halloween projects or are we finishing up some summer ones? I am doing a little of both. I been in this sad mood and kinds ventured away but I am back now with a new and funky halloween project.

I used 2 of the goth girl collection digi stamps from Janice over at Scrappers Delights . There names are Esmeralda and Evelin . These chicka brought a smile to my face as I sat there creating with them.

Well let's move on to the project, shall we.

I took a wooden coffin type box with a stand from my local Michaels store. I picked this up last year for .50 .I was just waiting for the right opportunity to use it . I started out by painting the outside with Folk Art #2578 New Leaf Green. I had to give it a few coats as it is a light color. I then painted the inside Craft Smart Black while I waited for the outside to dry.While i was waiting for the inside to dry I went and took the same black and colored the cross that came on the box.

I then used the black to go around the box where you seen the box was put together at, I guess you can say it's "seams" . I also painted the base while I had the black on my brush.

Here is the back to it.

So after I got all that done I stared at it while it dried. I felt it needed a little something more so I drug out my favorite Folk Art Extreme Glitter in #2789 Peridot . I just love this paint. With this green glitter I painted over everything that was the new leaf green. Except the inside edges. That includes front, sides, back. The painting isnt perfect and you can see that but it is what makes it so fun.

After all the paint was put on and drying, I cut out my 2 favorite girls, Esmeralda and Evelin. After positioning them here and there I finally decided I wanted to put Esmeralda on the front. But first I took a bat I cut out for a different project and glued it flat to the top left corner. I then took 2 spiders and pop dotted them on top of each other for that 3-d effect. I put these on the bottom left. I only applied glue to the body of Esmeralda. I left her hair unglued so they moved. I aligned her left foot up with the bottom of the lid and folded her other one so it looked as if she was walking. The right one is not glued down, so the door can open. I added two small bows to her hair. I actually took white bows and colored them in with a black sharpie marker. I think they look cute.

Across the bottom I took Lime Green Stickles from Ranger and wrote the word "Goth -o- ween" . Its not perfect but we all know how it is to write with stickles.

On the inside is where Evelin is patiently awaiting for you. Once you open the box up she will be greeting you.

Evening my crafty ladies, how was your day? Mine was a sleepy day, I am so sleepy and it isn't helping me any.

First off I'd like to say I am overly excited because I am now apart of the Scrappers Delights Design Team. YaY Thanks Janice. I am so excited because the products I get to work with are AMAZING.

I want to introduce you to Evelin. She is a gorgeous digi stamp and oh so fun to work with. She has some "sisters" to and there gorgeous also. Evelin is a creation from Janice over at Scrappers Delights . If you like to use digi stamps or tubes and you LOVE fun images and stuff, then I want you to go and check out the store over at Scrappers Delights.

Here is my tribute to Evelin.

She is so full of funk, she can be used for goth projects, dark side projects, teens projects or just about anything.

PCC Sweet Treats Challenge

Today starts a new challenge over at My Partner in Crafting Crime, Sweets and Treats!! Sounds fun don't it. Believe me it is fun.

I am also happy to announce I have joined there team. Woohooo how fun is that.

Let's get on to Challenge #32 which is Sweets & Treats. For this all you have to do is make something yummy and edible. We all love yummy cards right. HeHe.

I chose to do a cupcake card. I used the wrap it up cricut cartridge and cut it at 7 inches. The base of my card is manilla card stock. I then took 2 different scraps of the DCWV adhesive backed pattern stack paper, green and pink, and cut the layers. I cut them at 7 inches also but they for some reason was to big. So I put them down on the card and cut off what didn't fit. On the inside I stamped Happy Birthday with a studio g clear stamp from Michael's. I also added "matching" gems to the frosting, with my Irock, to look like sprinkles. I mean who doesn't love sprinkles and gems?

Ugly paper- Beautiful LO

Morning, I wanted to show you a LO i did for a ugly paper challenge over at Scrapbook.com . My partner was to send me 2 pieces of UGLY 12x12 paper and one UGLY embellishment to go with it. In return I had to use what I was sent and make a LO with it. Well with out further ado here is my LO's for both August and September.

The red circle paper became my title circles and the butterfly lost its feathers.
My niece Kiara was drawing the smurf picture for me so I took her picture while she was drawing hers and scrapped it. She loves purple and flowers.

Now on to my September UGLY papers and UGLY embellishment.

Although the papers was fugly the subjects are beautiful. I fussy cut the circle and swirly things and kinda made it into a flower that I put in between my besties daughters, I added a sparkle brad to the middle of it. I then put a color coordinating flower (kinda) by each of the girls. I put a die cut of family as the title above . Bottom right is a paper pieced bird I got in a swap. Bottom left is 3 3-d flowers. Along each side I attached 3 yellow flowers with gold brads. Oh yea the stamp that I have no clue what is I only inked one small triangle and stamped it in all 4 corners. You can barely see it.

So tell me whatcha think about my UGLIES turning into BEAUTIES?

Gone Fishing double LO

Hello crafters from all over. I don't do alot of LO's nor double one's but I sat down the other morning around 5 am and did this one.

The theme is "Gone Fishing" and I chose this because me and my bestie both love to go fishing together. So I whipped up a cute Lo with us both in it, that way if he wanted a piece we each could have one.

I used 2 sheets of brown 12x12 cardstock from Michaels. I then added 2 piece of fish pattern paper about 3 inches up the paper. I put one in the top left and one in the right bottom. I then took some yellow card stock, well it kinda looks gold, and made me 4 photo mats to hold 2 sideways 4x6 pics and 2 long ways 4x6 pics. I attached the 2 sideways one to the left and right corner. The 2 long ways ones I attached to the center of my paper but one on each LO. I then used the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and made my fisher man and the fish and his sack. the words was cut with the sidekick.

So for my fall project I made a altered Fall picture frame. I purchased my wooden frame from Michael's and only paid $1 for it. I really love them frames. I painted it in a brown as when I think of Fall I think of brown and orange. After the paint dried I used a green ink pad and dabbed the frame all over with it. I then outline the middle and the outside with a string of pearls. I took a bag of Fall leaves I got from Michael's and I picked out some nice ones. A few had glitter on them and a few didn't . In the top right i layered 3 of the same shape but different size. In the bottom left I added 3 of the same shape but different sizes and color. I added a old gold antiqued button to the bottom bunch of leaves. I then took some black flourishes stickers and cut them to fit into the other two corners that was bare. Added the cut off pieces to the sides. At the top I placed 2 double side squares and used them to hold down my Fall charm sign. Then I added 2 small orange leaves on top of the squares to kind of cover them up.

Here is my finished Fall frame.

I really like how this turned out. I made it for a Fall frame swap so I am hoping my partner likes it. Do you like it?

VLVS Dt submission.

Hello, I am posting this post because I am entering to be on the design team over at VLVS- Viva Las Vegas Stamps . The have some awesome stamps you really want to go check out and purchase you a few. On to my submission into the pool of Design Team submissions,

I really like this large Japanese tree stamp so I went with that and made a lovely card. The stamp was unmounted and it looks like this once I inked it for the first time.

I went with a kinda shimmery light green paper and glued it to the front of a blank white card. I then stamped my tree on white paper and cut it out. Adding it to a shimmery brown piece of paper I cut around it again to make the brown a little bigger then my tree. After doing all that I glued the brown piece to the middle of the green piece. I then took brown stickles and colored in the trunk of the tree. Adding green stickle dots in the branches. Not to many but not enough dots, just enough to look like the stamp leaves. I then took 6 medium sized brown gems and added them to each bottom corner. In the top left I added a medium sized lite yellow flower.

Here is my finished project:

I really love how this card turned out and love the japanese tree stamp . So why don't you go and check out the vlvstamps and come back to show me what you bought and made.

Interactive Card Hop - Day 2. * Hidden Pocket

Welcome back to day number two of Monica's interactive card hop. I hope you saved some fun from yesterday so you can enjoy the cards we made for you today.

Today I had the "hidden pocket" card, and let me tell you the who finding a tutorial or even a picture was hidden. I spent the past 3 days searching for a tutorial for this card and let's just say there hidden because I couldn't find none. I ended up just playing with some paper and made my own version of what I think a hidden pocket is.

Let's get onto my card. Starting with the supplies.

cricut cutter * hand made flower i received in a swap * 3-d sticker frames - say cheese * Irock gems * dimensional flower stickers * scrapbook sticker quips * light pink book mark * dark pink 12x12 textured cardstock * pink ribbon * pink chalk pad.

I cut my cardstock to 6 in x 12 in. I then scored my piece at 6 in so it can be folded in half. Taking my book mark I measure another piece 3/4 in bigger on both sides of the book mark. This way the extra 3/4 can be folded under and glued into the card to make the "hidden pocket". After playing around with it for a minute I glued the two sides of the bookmark cover down to the inside of my card. I then stapled a small piece of pink ribbon to the end of the bookmark so it can be pulled out. Taking the pink chalk pad I stamped all over the top of the bookmark. Then added 3 irock gems in each of the four corners and in the middle I put a sticker that says Scrap-A-Holic. I then lay this aside and continue on to the front of the card.

In the top left corner I place a silk ribbon flower which I received in a swap. I can't remeber who made it but if it was you please let me know. In the top right I placed a 3-d old time camera . Along the left side I placed a 2 piece film strip and placed two dimensional flowers inside as if the person took pictures of the flowers. Bottom right I placed 3 Irock gems . In the middle I placed a sticker from the book of scrapbook quips. It says, so many photos, so little time.

Well that's my version of a "hidden pocket" card. If you know of another way please let me know as I really would like to know now.

Interactive Card Hop - Day 1. * Side Ladder

Welcome to the Interactive Card Hop - Day 1!

Hi everyone get ready to see card after card after card. With some so many different types of cards out there sometimes it gets difficult to keep up with. So Monica has gathered a group of fab ladies who will show you samples of cards from just a waterfall card to an elaborate suspension card. This hop is 2 days long with different samples on both days so you wont want to miss either day. Be sure to leave a comment and become a follower on every hop in order to be eligible to her my grand prize. Some ladies will be offering individual blog candy and their rules may be different so be sure to read the specifics and make sure you have fun along the way.

I am overly excited to be invited to be a part of this fun blog hop. Up until today I have never made a card like this. I was so scared I wouldn't get it to work because my "practice" one wasn't looking so good. But I finally got it to work and so here is my SIDE LADDER CARD.

Ok I know my ladder is on the wrong side but I like it this way :O) . So I started out with a piece of card stock from DCWV Christmas stack. It is glittery and has small red flowers on it. Step 1: I cut my CS to 8 1/2 long X 5 1/2 wide.

Step 2: I placed my CS vertically in the trimmer at 2" and cut a slit from 2 1/4" to 7 1/4".

Step 3: I then placed CS horizontally with the slit to the bottom and scored from the top to the slit at 2 1/4" . I scored the entire card at 4 1/4" then for the remaining 3 score lines I scored at 5 1/2", 6 1/2", and 7 1/4".

Step 4: mountain fold all the score lines until you got "3 steps".

Time to decorate my side ladder card.

I used a sisters paper piecing I got in a swap. It is made in brown and light pink with a flower behind first S. I attached a flat back pearl to the flower center. I glued a large gem in both bottom corners. Also glued a large flower gem above my last S.

Next I added some Studio18 flower dimensional stickers to my second step. My third step has a light pink die cut from a swap. It says I LOVE YOU. I added a pink gem butterfly up in the right corner of my third step.

For the tall right hand side I used a digi stamp of a butterfly and I colored the same stamp in twice. I then pop dotted the one off the other to make it dimensional.

Here is a side view. As I said my ladder is on the wrong side and my card is a little wide but I love it.

For the hop today, I've created a large altered composition book and a mini note pad.

For the large book I just purchased a composition book from wal-mart and decked it out. I used a very lovely DCWV flower paper for the front. I added a purple for binding and the back. I took a fancy lace border punch and punched both sides of a piece of off white card stock then attached it to the left hand side. On top of that I added a small piece of ribbon. I placed 3 small pale pink silk roses along the ribbon. I then placed a flat back large pearl in the top and bottom right hand corners. In the middle of my book I added a large hot pink and white lacy, feathery flower. There is a handmade book marker also in the book.

For my little book I cut up about a gazillion pieces of paper 3 in x 2 in size. I chose pink and green for my inside paper to match my cover. My cover is thin plastic in pink with purple, pink, white stripes. I then added a large ring to hold it all together. I found a beautiful gem butterfly in my stash. It matched perfectly because it is pink and green. I then added a gem flower and spray under the butterfly. . I love it.

Without Further ADO here is my Family Love LO.

I started out with 2 sheets of 12x12 printed paper. The colors are faded green and brown. I used the faded green as my main piece. I took the brown and made a edging and the doily mat. I punched the edging with a Martha Stewart edger. I took a large white doily I had and hand drew praying hands in the center with pencil. I then took a black sharpie pen and traced my drawing so it would show up. I then took a printout of a angel I found online and cut the wings off. After cutting the wings off I glued the angel on top of some gold wings I had.

Using a picture of a tattoo I just recently got I cut it out and rounded the corners. I also took a picture of my big brothers tattoo ( I hand drew his tattoo out for him so the artist could use it ) and cut it out and rounded the corners. Mounted my brown piece of paper onto the right middle kinda and then mounted the center of the doily on it. I didn't want to glue down the edges of it so only the middle got tacked down. Added a light blue baby hand and baby foot brad to the right side lace of the doily. In between the brads I added a small yellow ribbon bow.

In the top right of the paper I placed my tattoo picture. I added 2 small black hearts from K&Company pillow stickers around the bottom of my picture. I then added 2 swirly things from the pillow stickers to the top of the picture.

In the bottom left corner I added Mikey's tattoo picture. I again added 2 small pillow heart stickers to the top of the picture. I then added a huge swirly to the bottom corner. Then added a smaller one to the right of the picture.

The top left consists of my hand made angel and a black heart from the pillow stickers sheet.

The bottom right consists of a large black pillow heart sticker with a little on inside. I didn't realize my heart moved out of the corner until I was uploading my pictures. For some reason they don't want to stick.

Along the whole left side is where I put my edged border. On it I used Kaiser Craft Fozz Fontz felt adhesive stickers to spell out FAMILY LOVE. I also included 3 small flowers that came with the set.

Well I believe I probably bore you will all these photos or lost you. So I am ending with a whole project photo.

present for my big sis

Good morn'n my crafty ladies.

I chose to do a project for my big sis. I miss her so much.

I used a wooden purse from Michaels and I painted it a darker pink outside with a lighter pink inside. I then covered the outside with pink glitter paint to make it sparkle.I then put a string of pearls around the edge of it. I added a large pink fabric flower to bottom left corner and a chipboard swirl with glitter and gems to the bottom right corner. also I put a small pink fabric rose in corner. in the top left I put 3 gems on with my irock. the upper right I half way glued a white and pink crocheted flower. in the center I used a white rub on that said I love you. I used 10 large half pearls and went along the outside with them. the inside lid I attacked 3 gems in each top corner again with my irock. in the bottom I glued a white and pink crocheted flower. the center contains a white rub on that says love family. I also included 3 gems in center of rub on flowers. so simple but so elegant.

the present I included in the purse is a sisters wall hanging made from coasters. I took 8 coasters you can get from Michaels dollar bins and covered in 2 different colored pink papers. the light color has family written on it. I then used the cricut and cut the word "sisters" out using lyrical letters, I attached them to the coasters and used stickles in pink to outline them. I attached all of the coasters together using jump rings and sheer ribbon. each coaster has a flower stickers made of gems. a pink silk rose and a few corner gems. all alternating corners. for the top coaster I used a recent pic of me and my sis (November 2010) . I cut it with scalloped scissors and outlined with pink stickles. I used 4 silk roses in the corners and then 3 gems on top and 3 gems on bottom. I used some organic cotton cord to hang it. after I was done and it dried I folded it up, put it inside the purse and mailed it off. she got it and loves it.

For my project today I just made a simple Bird Card.

I used a dark colored base for my card. I attached some lace across the bottom so my card wasn't so plain looking. The bird is one I got from a swap, I was told it is made with the imagine. It's gorgeous and perfect for the swap so I used it. I took a stamp that said "a flower blooms once" with a flower and i stamped it up, colored the flower with gold and green stickles and attached it to my card.

Card is simple but I love how it turned out.

Sandra is having us all make projects with birds and/or birdcages and some of us will be posting on both days Wed/Thurs. So please come join the fun.

For my project I made a bird house and bird. I picked up the little wooden bird house at Michaels for 10 cents and my niece Kiara insisted I use her ceramic bird, so I did just that.

Without further ado here is my project,

Here is my supplies, I forgot to include my bird and house.

For my little house I used dark green acrylic paint for the roof and the base. I then used extreme glitter in green to cover all of my dark green with glitter. after that I used brown acrylic paint and painted the bottom, window ledge and awning. I glued a half pearl in the center of the awning. I used my irock and attached a gem to the 8 swivels of the awning. after that I glued 2 blueish colored dragonflies to it. At the corners of the bottom I glued a red silk rose.

For my ceramic bird I used acrylic paint in dark blue and light blue. I painted the body with dark blue. Had to give it several coats and a little of the white still shows thru, but it looks nice that way. The head I painted in light blue, gave him 2 black eyes and a orange beak. I took the light blue and made a few wing and tail lines on my birdie. Then I took the dark blue and made a few lines on his head.

Yesterday was my 34th birthday and I was busy celebrating so I decided to make a ATC for the welcome to the dark side challenge over at ATC Sisterhood .

Scratch 'N Sniff

Hello ladies, hope your all having the best crafty day ever. I'm crafting on the down low I guess. Not suppose to be but just can't STOP.

Well here is a card I did. I used some cute pink in white lace along the bottom. Took a old scratch 'n sniff valentines card I found in my stash, oh it smells yummy. I layered it on top of a light pink cardstock so it doesnt get lost in the background stripes. I tacked it down slanted kinda. In the two top corners i added a large gem and 2 smaller gems. A simple smell good card for a berry good friend.

Red, White, Blue

Morning crafty chica's. Had a rough night and couldnt sleep so i got up and made this small card for a friend.

I took a piece of red card stock and cut it to 4x3. I then took white card stock and made it a bit smaller at 3 1/2 x 2 1/2. I then took blue card stock and made that smaller then the red and white, the blue is at 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 . I then took my fancy hello stamp and stamped it onto a small torn up piece of paper 1x1. I inked the edges of my small pallet with blue chalk ink.Put it in the left top corner with a pop dot for the 3-d affect. I took a red piece of card stock and hand cut a star about 2x2. I used my dollar store star puncher and made 5 small white stars to outline my large red one.I kinda faux stitched around them in blue ink I took a small piece of red,white,blue ribbon and made a knot in middle and zap dotted it to the corner. For the middle of my star I used a quelled star made in the famous red , white, blue colors. Cant remember who made this star as I got it from a fellow crafter. the quelled one has 4 itty bitty blue stars on top of it.

Altered Photo Frame

Hey , Hi ,How are you? I am really tired but I crafted this frame today.

I took a frame from Michaels, it is made by Plaid and is 7.5 in x 7.5 in. I chose the heart frame. Made it for a swap partner over at A Lil Scrap Of Heaven. Only requirements she gave me was brown,pink,cream.

I painted the frame with ranger paint dabbers in expresso.I then took a pink ink pad and dabbed it all over the brown.Added some ranger pearls to both top corners and bottom of left heart. Added a small paper yellow rose to the top center of heart. Bottom left I added a white silky fabric flower with brown feathers and beads. Bottom right I added some pearls and them put a pink and yellow paper flower on the sides. Added a white one in middle kinda.

Didn't take a lot of things or time. Simple but cute.

Hello beautiful crafters, I have had yet another late night crafting, I made 22 inchies for 2 different people. 11 per person, 18 of them was the same for both people. 4 was different because they was profile based. Yea I know you want to see but I was in to much of a hurry to mail them and I sealed them before snapping a picture.

But I did however snap a picture of my "summer fun" card I am going to enter into 5, yes 5 different contests.

Here is my card "Summer Fun" I will be entering.

I covered a blank card with 2 tone striped blue paper. I dug thru a big bag of die cuts I just received and found the boat. I inked the bottom with brown and the sail with a light blue. Went around the edges with the same blue. I then went to a different baggie full of doll parts. I used a body with brown hair and blue overalls. I glued him altogether and then into place. I found the flip flops on my pc. Not sure where I got them from but the original file was white. I opened it inside paint and made the flip flop red and the top part blue. I then "stitched" around them with a fine tip sharpie pen. Took my handy dandy label maker and typed out "SUMMER FUN" bold and italic. I added a jagged border like a board. I put my title on the top and called it done. I really like it.

The balance behind this hop is “FRIENDSHIP” so all of our projects had to be balanced to that. Friends are wonderful, aren’t they? I know mine are.

Hope you are enjoying yourself on this hop and have learned a few things. I won’t keep you waiting any longer. Here is my project that I made for my BFF Best Friend Forever. We have been friends for 15 and a half years and counting.

Ingredients :

Friends wooden picture frame from Michaels.

Gold and garnet paint from Michaels.

Gold round stretchy cord to hang it with.

Of course a picture of us.

The reason I used the garnet and gold is because we are both Florida State Seminole fans and that is there colors.

Directions:

I peeled the label stickers off of the frame and sanded it down a little bit. After I sanded I took the garnet paint and painted every other letter starting with the F. so letters F,I,N,S was done in garnet. I then took the gold paint and painted the R,E,D and the heart dotting the I and also the frame. (I just realized the letters in gold spell red). After I got that done and let it dry I then took a tooth pick and the garnet and outlined the heart and frame, to offset it a little bit. When it was completely dried I added the picture into the frame and called it a finished project.

My next friends project is pretty big and manly as I could of gotten it. HA

Ingredients:

Long 2x4 cut size.

Train die cuts.

Old brown buttons,

paper flowers and 2 brads,

gems friends sticker,

red/black jewel clusters.

Popsicle sticks (8).

Black paint.

Hot glue.

Yellow rope to hang with.,

peach paint.

red / brown jewels.(wheel centers and car connectors)

Directions:

My BFF loves trains ever since he was a little boy so I made this for our 15 year friendaversary in a train theme and FSU colors garnet and gold. HEHE I’m evil.

I took the 5 train die cuts and laid them flat so I knew how long I needed my board. I then went out and measured the board giving it a little extra space on the ends. Then painted the board a light peach so it had some color but not to much. While my board is drying I painted 8 popsicle sticks black so it kinda looked like railroad tracks. Haha I even distressed them gold. After the drying was all done I glued them down onto my board. Then I start to get my train ready. I altered colors so it was in the Florida State Seminoles colors. I ended up with 3 red and 2 yellow. Starting with the first one (engine) I took a black marker and outlines it according to the dots from the machine. I put on 2 clusters of gems in white, red, black on the front and back of this. Added a FSU face decal to the inside of the window. The Indian is driving the train but he is sitting backwards. Hehe.i added 4 puffs of steam to the stack. I then added 3 big buttons for wheels. I connected it with a small jewel to the second one which is a yellow car with a picture he likes of me. I added a red strips on both sides of me to fill in the empty spot from the die, added 2 button wheels and jeweled it to the third car which is red. In this car I added 2 yellow stripes and a picture we both like of us together. 2 brown wheels and a jewel later and it is now connected to the fourth car which is now yellow with red strips. This is a picture of him I like the best. Added the 2 button wheels and connected it to the last red car with a jewel. This one I just took a forever friends stamp and stamped it to the car. Added in the 2 button wheels and a jewel on the back because there is no more cars to add. Inside all the wheels is a red gem. The flowers are made by just altering colors and sizes. They are 4 layers high and a gold brad in center. I put one flower on each corner in the top. Above the cards I added 2 more gem clusters and the word “friends’ made from clear jewels. Tied the yellow rope thru the 2 holes I made so it can be hung.Had to add a matching card before I wrapped it all up. Card is just made from blue cardstock. I took a piece of white paper and stamped red flowers all over it. I then added a smaller square of blue to the middle and on top of that I added a stamped image of a boy and girl. I stamped them in blue and added the word “friends” in red under their feet. Of course I filled the inside out but that is private. :O)

Cricut 360 Challenge Blog Launch 1 Week Away

I know how you crafty ladies just love a challenge. Challenges get your minds thinking and your hands producing.

altered mini clipboard

So I was in a swap on facebook for altered chipboards. The size was my choice but I needed to connect with the receiver to get the colors and such for rest, I had a medium sized clipboard in my closet so I used it. I bought this clipboard because it was CUTE by itself.

It was originally a light green with some white, pink, purple flowers all over it. Along the bottom had some pink, purple stripes. I covered the striped up with some green striped paper. I then edged the clipboard with some white flower lace.I even added a piece on top the clipper thing. I took some gold glitter nail polish and dotted the top of the striped paper. Added a hand made purple flower to the lower right hand corner. In the bottom left hand corner I put a fabric sticker I had in my stash. It reads "learn by heart". I then added a blue-greenish flower to the top of the clippy thing. on the left top side I added a beaded dragonfly in green color. The right side the dragonfly is in purple.

I am rather happy with my finished project and I hope the receiver is as well.
